Prof Dame Lund deals with all sinonasal conditions and has been involved in endoscopic sinus surgery since the early 1980s. She has contributed extensively to the literature, is a co-chairman of EPOS and has participated in a number of other Consensus documents including ARIA and, most recently, ICOR. In 2008 she was awarded a CBE for services to medicine by the Queen. In 2024 she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to rhinology by King Charles. She is a member of the German Academy of Science (Leopoldina), an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
