Whether you want to have an in-depth discussion on diagnostic issues and specific surgical treatments or a more general update on the background of skull base pathology, this meeting will serve your needs.

One of the key features of the congress will be the clinical care pathways on the major topics of skull base pathology that are interwoven into the programme. In-depth lectures on tumour biology, radiologic features, treatment designs and quality of life will provide optimal insights on diseases such as vestibular schwannoma, chordoma, head and neck paraganglioma, meningioma, chondrosarcomas, skull base osteomyelitis and many more. There will also be round table sessions and debates regarding open versus endoscopic approaches, and radiotherapy versus surgical approaches

Specific attention is paid to the functional outcomes of different treatments: hearing rehabilitation, facial nerve revalidation with surgical and conservative treatment options, quality of life after different types of vestibular schwannoma treatment and an update of the vestibular implant.

To spice things up, the organisers have invited special keynote lecturers on refreshing topics. Have you always wanted to know how robotics will take over skull base surgery? Are you interested in learning how you can integrate ChatGPT/AI into your daily skull base consultations? Or keen to know why failure is an option? Step this way.

Loaded with information after a busy day? Meet up at the congress dinner at De Hoogenweerth castle on Friday 7 June, enjoy the music of the local ENT band Methylene Blues and have a drink in buzzing Maastricht. The organising committee eagerly anticipate welcoming you to Maastricht!
