16th Congress of the European Laryngological Society

The 16th Congress of the European Laryngological Society (ELS) will take place in Antwerp in May 2027. Renowned for its vibrant design and party spirit, Antwerp is a European crossroads – a city of commerce, culture and fellowship.

The congress will bring together clinicians, researchers, speech-language pathologists and colleagues from related fields for three days of high-level science, practical exchange and networking. The programme will cover the main areas of laryngology, including voice, swallowing, airway, oncology and paediatric laryngology. With more than 230 abstracts received and over 90% of invited speakers accepting, the meeting will feature leading voices from around the world. It will also showcase the dynamism and creativity of Young ELS members, who are increasingly driving our organisation forward. 

The meeting will be held at the Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, in the heart of the city and beside Antwerp ZOO. Social highlights will include a Welcome Reception, a Congress Dinner in an Art Nouveau landmark, a charity run through one of the world’s oldest zoos, and after-hours gatherings in quintessential Antwerp cafés.
