The 59th Annual Meeting of the Irish Otorhinolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery Society will be held in the unique setting of the Galgorm resort in Ballymena, 30 minutes north of Belfast.
The 2018 Wilde discourser is Blake Papsin, professor in the department of otolaryngology at the University of Toronto and otolaryngologist-in-chief at The Hospital for Sick Children where he has been a full-time consultant since July 1996 and led the cochlear implant programme. Prof Papsin has published over 220 peer-reviewed journal articles, 47 book chapters and has spoken widely on the subject of surgical rehabilitation of hearing loss.
The IOS annual meeting is a forum for specialist registrar presentations, consultant round table discussions and invited speakers, which this year include Ben Hartley, otolaryngologist from Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
Attendees usually include the Irish diaspora from Great Britain and further afield. Abstract submissions and meeting registration are encouraged through the IOS webpage. A warm Irish welcome is extended to all; céad míle fáilte.
