Delegates at BSA Scientific Meeting 2023.

The two-day scientific meeting of the British Society of Audiology (BSA) brings together academics, clinicians and researchers who have an interest in hearing, tinnitus and/or balance. The BSA considers this to be a scientific meeting rather than an annual conference, one that provides a platform to share the wonderful research happening in the field of audiology. To achieve this, as well as the usual invited speakers, it has accepted abstract submissions not only for posters but also oral presentations.

For the invited speakers, the organisers have drawn on the expertise of the BSA Special Interest Group (SIG) steering groups, each of which have an invited speaker in the programme. Even though these speakers were recommended independently, their work has a number of common themes, with several presentations on James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships, machine learning and mild-moderate hearing loss in children.

This highlights the importance of networking and sharing research with colleagues from other specialist areas. To facilitate such collaboration, there will be a poster session, drinks reception and buffet, starting late afternoon and carrying on into the evening of the first day.

If you’re not a member of the BSA already, there is a promotional offer for non-members attending the meeting, details of which along with the full programme and registration links can be found on the BSA website.
