The countdown is on for one of the highlights of the laryngology calendar. Cutting Edge Laryngology is recognised not only for its excellent scientific programme, but also for its friendly, collaborative atmosphere. The meeting brings together clinicians, researchers, trainees and innovators from across the UK and internationally to share ideas, present new research and discuss developments shaping the future of laryngology and ENT practice.
This year’s programme will include keynote lectures, panel discussions and free paper sessions covering a broad range of topics including Voice, Airway, Swallowing, Laryngeal Dysfunction, Cough, Paediatric Laryngology, Neurolaryngology, Education in Laryngology, Basic Science and Case Reports.
New for 2026, we are also delighted to introduce a dedicated pre-conference day on Tuesday 22 September, featuring an exciting hackathon focused on collaboration, innovation and creative problem-solving within laryngology and ENT.
Abstract submissions are now open online, and free paper sessions will run throughout the meeting. Authors may indicate whether they would prefer an oral or poster presentation, although final decisions will be made by the BLA Scientific Committee.
Abstracts must be unpublished, not previously presented at a national UK meeting and submitted in a structured format using the headings Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion. A strict 250-word limit applies, excluding title, authors and references. The first author must present the paper, and all submissions will be managed through Oxford Abstracts.
The closing date for abstract submissions is midnight on Friday 29 May 2026. We encourage colleagues at all stages of their careers to submit their work and join us in London this September.
