"EUHA2025: Excellent!" That was the feedback on the premiere of Auracast™ at the world's largest hearing care professional event in Nuremberg. The next-generation Bluetooth audio broadcasting technology, which is offered at the Sydney Opera House, could be experienced for the first time at the International Hearing Care Congress in Nuremberg. From 22 to 24 October 2025, Auracast™ could be tried out in the lecture hall, in the EUHA Live Area and at various stands. Translations were provided via Auracast™ and party music in the Nuremberg winter huts could also be enjoyed via Auracast™.
The industry exhibition was also excellent, with 150 exhibitors covering 15,500 square metres of exhibition space! The exhibitors came from 19 countries. The top four were Germany, China, Denmark and France. 52 per cent of the exhibitors came from Germany, while 48 per cent were international. This year's partner country was Austria.
The scientific lecture programme was excellent, featuring 26 expert lectures, 4 tutorials and 35 national and international speakers. The event kicked off with the Knowledge Symposium, which featured an exciting presentation by Dr Markus Peifer from the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts on the topic of politics and skilled crafts. In addition, the EUHA 2025 Sponsorship Awards and the Foundation Award of the Research Association of German Hearing Aid Acousticians (FDHA) were presented to Prof Roland Laszig.
The stage programme in the EUHA Live Area was excellent. There were short presentations every day and a special programme on the Sound of Future on Friday.
A total of 260 trainees and students were invited to the congress free of charge. There was a special programme for young professionals in the industry, with a rally and two guided tours of the trade fair to various exhibitors to learn about their respective highlights. It was great to meet so many young people who are securing the future of the industry.
Lively activity, great exchanges and the latest news from the fields of hearing care, science and research made the congress unique. AI, Auracast, rechargeable and virtually invisible in-ear hearing systems with battery life of up to 30 hours – in my view, we are entering a new dimension of hearing care. This offers hearing care professionals and especially users a wide range of new benefits. This congress has set completely new standards in many areas and will have made a memorable impression on many participants.
