The 32nd International Rhino Egypt & 17th Pan-Arab Rhinology Society Meeting (Rhino Egypt 2026) was held at the Intercontinental City Stars Hotel, Cairo, Egypt. Rhino Egypt is the longest-running annual scientific event in the field of rhinology and related otolaryngological subspecialties in the Middle East and North Africa.
The 2026 meeting marked 32 years of continuous scientific activity and served as a major platform for knowledge exchange in rhinoplasty, endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, sleep-disordered breathing, and maxillofacial surgery. 1350 attendees (physical & virtual) participated and 40 international experts (physical) gave lectures. There were seven cadaver dissection workshops covering key surgical techniques and anatomy.
The scientific program included expert lectures, parallel scientific sessions, live discussions, and hands-on cadaver dissection workshops. Topics covered advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinoplasty techniques, skull base surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea management.
Parallel sessions and expert lectures were held on current techniques in endoscopic sinus surgery; evidence-based approaches in cosmetic and reconstructive rhinoplasty; clinical and surgical management of snoring and OSA; advances in minimally invasive approaches in skull base surgery. The conference bridged rhinology, facial plastics, skull base, sleep surgery and allied fields. It enhanced opportunities for collaboration among clinicians, researchers and industry partners.
The sessions with masters enabled the young generation to discuss the questions in their mind with experienced faculty. The gala dinner in the garden of the hotel was very enjoyable. The ways in which AI could be applied in ORL from improving diagnostic accuracy to freeing the clinicians from lengthy report writing to dedicate their time more to their patients. Another highlight was frontal sinus surgery. The application of the new technology and the new approaches to frontal sinus brought new horizons to the management of frontal sinus surgery.
