Booking is now open for the 2025 SmellTaste National Conference 2025, taking place at the University of Nottingham on Saturday 8 November.
This event is suitable for people who are living with a smell or taste impairment and for advocates, healthcare professionals and researchers.
The day promises to be an impactful event, uniting our SmellTaste members and others we support with researchers, industry leaders, and advocates, all of whom share a common mission: to transform understanding of smell and taste disorders and collectively drive meaningful, lasting change.
Participants will be able to learn more about smell and taste impairment and hear about the latest research from some of the experts we work with. For those living with these sensory impairments this will be an opportunity to meet and learn from others who understand because they are experiencing the same or similar issues.
Highlights include:
- A keynote address by Prof Jonas Olofsson, Professor of psychology at Stockholm University and author of ‘The Forgotten Sense’.
- An update from Dr Nicole Yang on The University of Nottingham flavour training chewing gum study, designed to support people with impaired flavour perception.
- An overview of latest research in the field by Prof Carl Philpott, Professor of Rhinology and Olfactology at the University of East Anglia.
- An introduction to the University of Virginia Center for Smell and Taste Disorders by Prof Steven Munger (via video).
Together we’re stronger. We would love you to be part of the SmellTaste National Conference 2025.
