The 38th PanAmerican meeting will be full of innovative lectures and sunny afternoons. It launches with three pre-meeting workshops on 15 June: cochlear implants, in conjunction with the International Federation of Otolaryngology Societies (IFOS); Botox injections and facial contouring; and paediatrics, in conjunction with the Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otolaryngology (IAPO).
The inaugural ceremony on Sunday will pay special recognition to Dominican ENTs who have contributed to the growth of the specialty in the country. The opening reception will include a cocktail party to kick off four days of scientific updates and the latest information to improve your practice.
The organising committee has rallied up a diversity of professors from all around the globe. They include: Dr Richard Davis in facial plastics, Dr Ralph Tuffano in thyroid surgery, Dr Dale Browne in head and neck surgery, Dr Masao Kume in laryngology, Dr Mario Sanna in neurootology, Dr Giovanni Danesi in skull base surgery and Dr Alexandre Flippu in Rhinology.
The closing ceremony will feature live music from a local band, immersing you in Dominican culture and letting you dance the night away to merengue. A friendly golf tournament at the Hard Rock Golf Club (designed by Jack Nicklaus), is being offered for the golf enthusiast. Don’t forget to sign up through the website as space will be limited.
