Global inequality in audiology care
A new study comparing audiological care across different counties found there is a huge disparity across high- and low-income countries. Published in the International Journal of Audiology, the study was entitled ‘Global disparities in hearing care services and infrastructure: findings from a 47-country international provider survey’.
‘Game changer’ for hearing at Brighton station
The first UK rail station has permanently installed innovative technology to help people with hearing loss. Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express are using Auracast, Bluetooth technology which ensures that station announcements are broadcast direct from the public address system to hearing aids.
