Tinnitus UK has announced a unique evening of music, spoken word and comedy designed with safe listening at its core. Taking place at London’s iconic Union Chapel on Thursday 5th February, the event will raise awareness during Tinnitus Week 2026 and champion the importance of hearing health.

‘Quiet Night Out’ will bring together an eclectic line-up spanning folk, indie, rock, experimental soundscapes, storytelling and stand-up comedy; all performed at carefully-controlled sound levels to ensure a comfortable experience for people living with tinnitus, hyperacusis or general sound sensitivity.
The event has been crafted in line with the World Health Organisation’s Global Standard for Safe Listening at Venues and Events, with expert sound engineering and acoustics ensuring an engaging, high-quality performance without compromising hearing wellness. It also draws from this year’s Tinnitus UK report, Amplifying Awareness, which offers a comprehensive snapshots on how both live music fans and industry professionals perceive hearing health and safe listening. Drawing on insights from a national survey, the report highlights shared concerns, lived experiences and emerging best practice across the music sector. Its findings aim to drive positive change and strengthen cross-industry collaboration to improve hearing safety in live environments; ensuring that music remains enjoyable, memorable and accessible for everyone who creates it, works within it or loves experiencing it.
Tinnitus UK is an independent charity dedicated to providing information and support for individuals living with tinnitus in the United Kingdom. It plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this condition through a variety of support avenues, including online and in-person support groups, a helpline and an informative website.
Every ticket will include a free pair of ACS Pacato 16 high-fidelity earplugs, courtesy of ACS Custom, who are sponsoring the event. These high-fidelity earplugs, paired with the controlled sound environment, underline the commitment to safe listening for all.
