Super Surgeons is a three-part series broadcast in the UK on Channel 4 this summer. Produced in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, the documentary was filmed in the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London, where surgical oncologists use new technology to try to save or prolong the lives of their patients. Among them is Professor Vinidh Paleri (pictured), Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon, whose special interests include transoral robotic surgery. In the first episode, he tries to remove a tumour using robotic tools inside a patient's mouth without removing her voice box.
