The European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology invite participation in two surveys on behalf of the Young ESPO Committee. The two surveys address distinct areas of paediatric hearing care and therefore require input from colleagues with different areas of expertise:
1. Newborn hearing screening and the aetiological work-up of congenital hearing loss
This survey focuses on newborn hearing screening and the subsequent aetiological work-up of infants in whom permanent hearing loss was confirmed following an abnormal newborn hearing screening result during the first year of life.

2. Paediatric cochlear implantation
This survey examines current practices and structures related to cochlear implantation in children.

By completing the surveys, Young ESPO hopes to gain a comprehensive overview of current practices across different countries and centres, identify variations and potential unmet needs, and provide a basis for future collaborative initiatives in paediatric hearing care.
They would be grateful to receive one coordinated response to each survey from every hospital or centre.
As the questionnaires address different topics, they may be completed by different colleagues with the relevant expertise, either independently or in consultation with one another. Each centre is strongly encouraged to contribute to both surveys where possible; however, if only one questionnaire can be completed, this contribution would still be highly valuable and greatly appreciated.
Each survey takes approximately five to ten minutes to complete.
Your participation represents a highly valuable contribution to this Young ESPO initiative. Broad participation is essential to ensure that the results reflect the diversity of clinical practice across the ESPO community. The surveys have been developed in close collaboration with and under the guidance of the ESPO Board.
