David Alderson is a Consultant ENT Surgeon based at Torbay Hospital. He is inspired by the ways that the arts and humanities can transform our perspectives on healthcare. In 2010 he was awarded an MEd in Surgical Education with Distinction from Imperial College, and in 2014 received a fellowship from the Academy of Medical Educators in recognition of work developing simulation, clinical skills and human factors education. He lives in a small Devon village, with his wife, two sons and a lively golden retriever.
