Nick qualified in dentistry and medicine at Guy’s Hospital. He did his general surgical rotation in Guildford before returning to Guy’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Royal National for his ENT training and a fellowship in Seattle. He spent his consultant career in Nottingham. His clinical interests were facial pain, nasal reconstruction, rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery. He has published over 310 peer-reviewed papers, 38 chapters and written seven books. Since retiring, he has turned to poetry. He also etches on copper and tries to play golf!
