Interacoustics recently launched the IA-AMTAS automated test feature for patient self-testing in the audiometry module of Affinity Compact.
The IA-AMTAS test feature allows patients to perform a diagnostic hearing test on their own, including air and bone conduction thresholds with masking applied to the non-test ear. IA-AMTAS also provides automated tests of speech reception, both Speech Recognition Threshold (SRT) and Word Recognition Scores (WRS).
The IA-AMTAS test feature frees up time for the busy clinician. Once the patient has completed the IA-AMTAS test, you can access a summary report with the test data and quality indicators of the session.
IA-AMTAS was designed to provide the same test results as an audiologist would obtain, and is advantageous when compared to the common Hughson-Westlake method.
