When healthcare professionals invest in new diagnostic equipment, they increasingly want to understand not only clinical performance, but also environmental impact. To help support more informed purchasing decisions, Interacoustics has completed Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for two key products: the Equinox Evo Clinical Audiometer and Touch Keyboard.

The LCAs provide a detailed picture of each product’s environmental footprint across its entire lifecycle, from raw materials and manufacturing to transport, use and end-of-life treatment. Conducted in accordance with ISO 14040/14044 standards, the assessments offer transparent, science-based sustainability data for clinics and procurement teams.

Beyond supporting sustainable procurement, the assessments help Interacoustics identify areas where future products can be improved through smarter materials, design optimisation and emissions reductions. The initiative also aligns with Interacoustics’ broader efforts to increase circularity through recycled packaging materials, repairability and longer product lifetimes.
