Interacoustics has taken initial steps to improve its environmental performance and reduce CO2 emissions. Earlier this year, the company applied for – and obtained – the recognized ISO 14001 environmental standard certification.

The ISO 14001 certification is Interacoustics’ first active decision to incorporate environmental initiatives and performance into its business strategy.

Carsten Kind, President at Interacoustics, says.

“Our new certified environmental management system is a great tool for Interacoustics to translate our passion for doing something for the environment into effective actions that will make a difference.”

The new environmental and climate initiatives address the entire Interacoustics product life cycle from supply chain to product end of life. The company’s long-term objectives include optimization and reduction of packaging materials, reduction of CO2 emissions from transportation and shipment as well as ensuring a sustainable product design.
