QuietStar has completed the second phase of audiology modernisation at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, working with East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust to deliver a new paediatric and adult audiology facility.

The project involved collaboration with the Trust’s clinical team, led by Dawn Bramham, IKON Architects and principal contractor R&B Refurbishment. The new facility includes two bespoke visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA) test rooms, a large multipurpose audiology room and five standalone glazed audiometric test booths.

Acoustic doors, air conditioning, integrated equipment and cable management were incorporated to support clinical testing and sound isolation. The interiors feature soothing colours, playful graphics and carefully selected materials to create a welcoming environment for children and their families.

The development follows QuietStar’s delivery of the hospital’s adult audiology facility in 2025. Together, the two phases provide modernised facilities to support hearing assessments, rehabilitation and specialist audiology care, while increasing testing capacity across the service.
