VARTA AG presented its comprehensive range of energy solutions for the medical hearing sector at EUHA 2025 last week, the world’s largest trade event for the hearing aid industry.
Operating under the motto "Empower Your Hearing", the company showcased its broad portfolio of primary and rechargeable batteries for hearing aids and other medical applications, ranging from standard cells to individually developed solutions. The event, which took place in Nuremberg from 22 to 24 October 2025, saw VARTA position itself as a full-line supplier committed to enabling independent living through modern energy technology.
VARTA highlighted how its battery solutions are becoming more compact, more powerful, and longer-lasting. This technological innovation allows hearing aids to be smaller, yet deliver the high energy required to make everyday life easier for users and improve their quality of life in the long term.
Torsten Schmerer, Managing Director of VARTA Microbattery GmbH & VARTA Micro Produktion GmbH, stressed the importance of their products. “Energy is the key to mobility, independence, and quality of life – and thus also to freedom of hearing. With our portfolio in the field of medical hearing, we demonstrated how technology empowers people” he stated.
Sustainability was also a central theme for the company. VARTA confirmed that it manufactures at its headquarters in Ellwangen and other German locations in accordance with the highest environmental standards. Through resource-saving production processes and its growing range of rechargeable cells, the company showed its commitment to sustainable value creation within hearing acoustics.
The 69th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians (EUHA) hosted over 130 international exhibitors and attracted approximately 8,000 trade visitors. VARTA AG's display featured its comprehensive range of energy solutions for both hearing aids and medical devices.
