Global hearing healthcare group WS Audiology has marked 100 years of business with a week of employee celebrations at its UK & Ireland headquarters in Chester Business Park.

The company now operates in 130 markets and employs more than 12,500 people globally.

WSA brought colleagues together for a day of centenary celebrations, recognising the people who have shaped the business. The event began with a company-wide town hall followed by breakfast, darts, photography competitions, prize giveaways, a lunchtime BBQ and ice cream van.

A highlight of the day was the unveiling of a bespoke, commemorative artwork by local artist, Nikki Pinder. Created over four days, the large-scale mural showcases WSA's family of brands in a vibrant design, capturing the heritage, innovation, customer focus and partnerships that drive the business forward.

The company also launched 100 Hours for 100 Years, a volunteering initiative honouring the company’s commitment to creating a legacy beyond its centenary by supporting causes that matter to its people and make a positive impact on local communities.

Employees will be able to volunteer during working hours, supporting a range of registered charities supporting people with hearing loss.

Phil Stores, Managing Director of WSA UK said: “Celebrating our centenary is an opportunity to recognise the people, partnerships and innovation that have made WSA the leading hearing healthcare business it is today. WSA stands for collaboration, innovation, and impact – values that have defined our first 100 years as a global business that improves lives through better hearing.

"A milestone like this is about recognising our brilliant history whilst looking to the future – something Nikki captured perfectly in her wonderful mural. Our Chester headquarters is a place where colleagues, customers and partners can come together to collaborate, learn and innovate, helping us continue to develop hearing solutions that improve people's lives and leave a positive legacy.”

Nikki Pinder, local artist, said: “It was a privilege to create a piece that celebrates such an important milestone for a company that does such powerful work for people with hearing loss. The artwork celebrates WSA in a vibrant, contemporary way, and I hope it becomes something colleagues and visitors enjoy every time they walk through the doors."

In 2025, WSA brought its entire UK team together under one roof in Chester to create a dynamic workspace for collaboration, training, and partnership for employees, customers and hearing care professionals, reflecting WSA’s purpose of delivering wonderful sound for all.

WSA welcomes audiologists and hearing care professionals from across the UK to its headquarters, giving them the chance to meet the WSA UK team, experience hands-on training and workshops, and see how WSA is fusing innovation and collaboration in the heart of Chester.
