Otolaryngology is a very specialised field with a broad curriculum. There are not many books available in the market that are able to succinctly highlight key concepts that are required at an exit exam level, especially for those who are not yet fully experienced in otolaryngology – ENT Secrets certainly stands out.

Compared to a lot of otolaryngology textbooks, this book is relatively modest in size and easy to carry around. This makes it handy to have in your bag to take out for a quick read if you find yourself with a spare hour or so. But despite its size, ENT Secrets, does have a remarkable depth of knowledge. This book covers most of the important topics within the otolaryngology curriculum. It is written in a question and answer format, which allows for key concepts to be reviewed quickly. The tables and diagrams are well-placed and helpful in explaining concepts.

While this book is a good way to start building the foundation of knowledge in otolaryngology, other reference books are probably still needed to supplement it.

In general, this is a very good all round ENT book that I have found easy to read, it has certainly guided my learning and is a valuable addition to my library.
