This year’s calendar is chock full of conferences and meetings, so there will be a lot to cover in the next few months. The UK flagship conference, BACO, will be in Glasgow in July and it features heavily in ENT & Audiology News Mar/Apr 2026, with articles by several of the leading speakers.
One of the keynote speakers is Rebecca Howell, who has been leading a large research project evaluating the management of pharyngeal pouch (or ‘Zenker’s diverticulum’ if you are on the other side of the Atlantic). She is passionate about helping patients with swallowing disorders, so her talk at BACO promises to be a highlight. She outlines some of the main issues for this edition.
Our next supplement, to be published for July/August, will focus on laryngology and snoring and will be guest-edited by Natalie Watson. This area is developing rapidly – if you are one of our industry partners and you would like to secure advertising space, please do contact us.

Getting back to the topic of meetings, the biggest European conference, CEORL-HNS, takes place in Gothenburg in April. The ENT & Audiology News team will be there in force, so do come and find us at our stand. Remember to sign up for our digital content to ensure that you receive the dedicated conference eshots we’ll be sending. And, as ever, a conference report will follow in a future issue.
In our office in Edinburgh, we have recently bid a fond farewell to Rhian Lewis, who has been with the magazine for many years – she has been a stalwart in the team focusing on advertising and sales, along with much else. We wish her all the very best and we sincerely thank her for her wonderful work over the years.

Nova (left) has taken over from Rhian (right) as sales executive on ENT & Audiology News.
In the same breath, we welcome Nova McMillan, who has been with Pinpoint for a long time and is moving desks to become our sales executive. Nova will be in Gothenburg, along with Rosaleen Shine and me, so we hope to see you there!
