In conversation with Emma Stapleton, winner of the Hunter Doig Medal 2022

The Hunter Doig Medal is awarded once every two years to a female Fellow or Member of the Royal College of the Surgeons of Edinburgh who has demonstrated outstanding career potential and ambition. The medal is named after two female surgeons, Alice Headwards-Hunter and Caroline Doig.

As the pandemic evolves, the world seems to be divided into those countries that are fortunate enough to have good vaccine coverage and, hence, are able to open up their societies; and those who do not have an adequate vaccine roll-out and are having to live with significant restrictions or high levels of prevalent disease.

Travel Grants for young ENT professionals

20 Observership Travel Grants have been announced for young ENT professionals aged 35 and under. The grant will provide invaluable opportunities for early-career ENT specialists to gain practical experience and broaden their expertise in the field, can be used to cover expenses for visiting a department in a European or non-European country.
