For ENT&A Nov/Dec2025, we are delighted to celebrate the remarkable educational institution ENT Masterclass®, which marks its 20th anniversary with a celebration that will take place at the Royal Society of Medicine in London in January.
For those who are not aware of its work, ENT Masterclass® has become a global phenomenon in ENT education, providing high-quality training to thousands of clinicians around the world, delivered by leaders in our specialty. One of the most extraordinary things about the organisation is its business model: delegates pay no fees and the faculty cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. It is largely the persuasiveness of founder Professor Shahed Quraishi that provides the momentum for the whole enterprise, and he has been honoured with an OBE for his efforts and dedication.

We are also thrilled to celebrate the astonishing success of Katherine Conroy, our History of ENT Section Editor here at ENT & Audiology News, who represented Great Britain at this year’s World Transplant Games and won no fewer than five gold medals!

In a change of editorial personnel, we say a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to Hannah Cooper, and warmly welcome Gaynor Chittick (Head of Audiology Services, Aintree University Hospital) as our Journal Reviews Editor, joining Nazia Munir in the role.
And – as ever – we are at numerous meetings in the coming weeks. I myself am very excited to be attending the ENT Masterclass® meeting in January at the RSM. The team has recently been at EUHA in Nuremberg, will attend the BAA Conference in November and will distribute magazines, wallplanners and various supplements at AIHHP in November. We hope to see you there!
