Now, the relevance to the UK market might be slight limited with some of the data but there are certainly a few interesting nuggets for our perusal, in particular from this article’s accessories and apps section. The rate of satisfaction among hearing aid users in France, Germany and the United States is from 66 to 83% respectively, yet the rate of usage is only between 35% down to 25%, which begs the question of why? Is this addition actually helpful or just spangly? Are people just happy that it is there? Or is lack of technological understanding hindering usage? Therefore, do clinicians need to up their explanatory game?
