'Deafmetals' on display at the V&A

Ground-breaking designs in hearing aids are on display as part of a new exhibition at the V&A Museum in London. Deafmetal®, founded by Finnish designer Jenni Ahtiainen, transforms hearing instruments into bold, beautiful jewellery – known as Deafmetals – helping wearers reclaim their identity.

Global inequality in audiology care

A new study comparing audiological care across different counties found there is a huge disparity across high- and low-income countries. Published in the International Journal of Audiology, the study was entitled ‘Global disparities in hearing care services and infrastructure: findings from a 47-country international provider survey’.
