Interacoustics’ new VisualEyesTM solution provides clinicians with a comprehensive set of tools to make fast and accurate diagnostic decisions in those suffering from dizziness and balance disorders.
One of the most distinctive new features in the VisualEyesTM software is a precise torsion eye tracker algorithm that enhances the measurement and detection of nystagmus. With the option to track and measure torsional eye movements, Interacoustics moves from 2D to 3D eye movement recordings. This provides clinicians with detailed information on the full range of eye movements for the first time using VisualEyesTM.
Interacoustics believes this is a real game changer in the measurement of nystagmus. It gives improved accuracy in existing test batteries such as in the Dix-Hallpike test as well as opening avenues to new tests such as the ocular counter roll test which for the first time allows a VNG goggle to measure the function of the otolith organs.
